| Reverse description | The provincial name FRISIA is inscribed in a single horizontal line across the upper field, with the date displayed below in the center. Above the inscription, a rampant lion is depicted in relief, flanked symmetrically on either side by ornamental foliate decorations. Beneath the date, a stylized flower with two flanking leaves occupies the lower field, providing a formal heraldic balance to the composition. The design is executed in the milled tradition of Dutch provincial coinage, with clean die work consistent with early eighteenth-century Frisian mint production. |
