Reverse description Crowned shield bearing the arms of Overijssel — a rampant lion to the left — centrally positioned within a beaded inner circle. The shield is surmounted by an elaborate provincial crown with fleurons. The legend 'VIGILATE ET ORATE' (Watch and pray) encircles the design along the outer border, separated by pellets. The overall composition is bold and well-centred, consistent with Dutch provincial copper coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.
