Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Duke Vittorio Amedeo I of Savoy in right-facing profile, wearing a large lace ruff collar and elaborately decorated cuirass, the hair falling in loose curls. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine baroque detail in the garments and facial features. The circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading V • AMEDEUS • D : G • DUX • SABAUDIAE, with a beaded inner border visible along portions of the rim.

Reverse description The quartered and complex heraldic coat of arms of the House of Savoy, surmounted by a ducal crown and set within an elaborate baroque cartouche with foliate and scroll ornamentation. The shield displays the dynastic quarterings of Savoy, Jerusalem, Cyprus, and other territories, rendered with considerable engraving detail. Supporting elements flank the cartouche on either side. The circular Latin legend ET PRINCEPS PEDEMONTIUM runs along the periphery, with a beaded border encircling the design.
