Reverse description The quartered and crowned coat of arms of the House of Savoy occupies the central field, comprising quarters bearing the arms of Savoy, Montferrat, Chablais, and other dynastic territories, surmounted by a ducal crown of multiple arches. The dynastic motto FERT is split across the field to either side of the shield, flanked by elaborate foliate supporters. The circumferential legend is separated from the central device by a beaded inner circle.
