| Reverse description | The reverse displays the crowned arms of the United Provinces of the Netherlands at center, a quartered shield featuring the Dutch lion rampant, supported on either side by standing lions rampant acting as heraldic supporters. The composition is rendered in high relief befitting a piedfort striking. The date 1672 appears in an ornamental cartouche in the lower exergue. The motto legend, split between left and right, encircles the entire design along the border. |
