| Obverse description | A fully armored knight on horseback occupies the central field, depicted in dynamic right-facing posture with sword raised aloft, characteristic of the Dutch 'Silver Rider' type. The horse is shown rearing dramatically, with a crowned lion shield bearing the arms of Holland visible beneath the horse's forelegs in the lower field. The denomination numeral '3' appears in an escutcheon below the shield. The circular Latin legend runs along the inner border of the milled edge, identifying the coin as a new silver coinage of the Confederate Belgian Provinces for Holland. |
