| Obverse description | A fully armored knight — the celebrated 'Silver Rider' — is depicted on a charging horse prancing to right, brandishing an unsheathed sword aloft in his right hand. Beneath the horse, the crowned arms of the Province of Holland appear in the field. The design is executed in bold relief characteristic of Dutch Baroque coinage of the period. The encircling Latin legend is separated by decorative stops and runs along the periphery of the square klippe flan. |

| Reverse description | The crowned arms of the Seven United Provinces occupy the central field, elaborately mantled and supported on either side by rampant crowned lions. Beneath the central shield, a smaller escutcheon bearing the city arms of Amsterdam is prominently placed, serving as the mintmark of the Amsterdam Mint. The date 1673 appears at the top of the field integrated into the legend. The entire composition is rendered in the high-relief Baroque style typical of Dutch provincial piedfort issues, the square klippe shape accentuating the monumental character of the design. |
