(Translation: New silver coinage of the United Provinces of the Netherlands, Duchy of Gelderland and County of Zutphen)
Reverse description A crowned heraldic shield bearing the quartered arms of the Seven United Provinces, supported on either side by rampant lions facing inward. The date is displayed beneath the shield within a decorative cartouche. The circumferential legend in Latin reads CONCORDIA RES PARVÆ CRESCUNT, the motto of the Dutch Republic, enclosed by ornamental stops. The overall composition reflects the formal baroque heraldic style common to the provincial coinage of the Dutch Republic.
