| Reverse description | Saint Martin, nimbed and shown in three-quarter view, is depicted mounted on a horse trotting to the left, his cloak billowing as he extends it downward toward a kneeling beggar shown in the lower field who reaches up to receive the charitable gift. The figures are rendered in a vigorous late-Gothic relief with bold modelling of drapery and the horse's musculature. The saint's nimbus is clearly visible above his head, and the abbreviated Latin legend identifying him is distributed across the field. |
