| Reverse description | A cross pattée centered within a polylobed frame matching the obverse in design, with crosslets adorning each interior point of the lobes and the whole surrounded by a beaded circle. The cross pattée, a hallmark device of Genoese ducats, is rendered in the flat, linear style typical of hammered gold coinage of the period. The circumferential Latin uncial legend invokes the name of Conrad, King of the Romans, a traditional titular reference maintained on Genoese coinage long after his reign, and concludes with the initials of the mint official responsible for this emission. |
