| Obverse description | Crowned and ornately mantled five-fold coat of arms displayed within an oval cartouche, the whole set upon crossed sword and crozier in saltire. The shield bears the arms of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège and the Duchy of Bavaria. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, identifying the issuer as Maximilian Henry, Elector of Cologne and Bishop of Liège. |

The date 1654 appears in the exergual area below the tablet. The overall composition is characteristic of the ducal coinage of the Bouillon type struck under Maximilian Henry. |
