Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Friedrich Christian, Prince-Elector of Saxony, with curled hair and lace cravat, occupying the central field. The portrait is rendered in a refined baroque style characteristic of mid-18th century Saxon coinage. A circular Latin legend runs along the entire periphery, reading FRID: CHRISTIAN: D: G: DUX SAX: ELECTOR:, identifying the issuer by name and title.
