| Beschrijving keerzijde | Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle displayed in the center of the field, bearing on its breast a crowned and quartered escutcheon with the composite arms of the Habsburg-Lorraine dynasty. The eagle's wings are spread and its two heads face outward, with orb and sceptre in its talons. The mint mark N-B (for Nagybánya, present-day Baia Mare, Romania) appears beneath the eagle. The devotional Latin legend TU DOMINE SPES MEA (Thou, O Lord, art my hope) is inscribed around the periphery, with the date appearing as part of the legend, here shown as 1755 in the image. The whole is enclosed within a toothed milled border. |

Francis I ruled as Holy Roman Emperor and co-regent of the Habsburg lands alongside Maria Theresa, though his role in actual governance was largely ceremonial — she held the administrative authority, while he managed the imperial finances and the family's private fortune. Hungarian ducats of this co-rulership period were struck at multiple mints under complex jurisdictional arrangements, and the ÉH#1284 attribution places this piece within a tightly defined emission window that ended when revised coinage ordinances came into force after 1756.
