| Obverse description | Saint Mark, nimbed and standing in full figure facing, holds a long gonfalone (processional banner) in his left hand while extending his right toward the kneeling lord Dorino Gattilusio, who faces the saint in a posture of submission and investiture. The two figures are separated by the staff of the gonfalone, which bisects the field vertically. The scene closely follows the Venetian ducat prototype, adapted for the Gattilusio lordship. A circular Latin legend in uncial characters surrounds the composition, naming the issuer. |

| Reverse description | Christ Pantocrator stands in full figure facing within a pointed mandorla formed by a beaded border, his right hand raised in benediction and his left hand holding the Gospels. Nine six-pointed stars are distributed around the figure within the mandorla, with a single pellet visible between his feet. A circular Latin legend in uncial characters surrounds the mandorla, reproducing the standard Venetian ducat inscription invoking Christ as ruler of this ducat. |
