The crown is depicted with arched form and surmounted by a cross, while the two sceptres cross diagonally beneath it, their tips visible at four cardinal points. A partial arc legend in Latin reads LEGE · ET · FIDE · (By Law and Faith), curving along the upper portion of the field. The composition is compact and heraldic in character, consistent with the Frankfurt coronation ducat series of the late eighteenth century. |
