| 表面の説明 | The entire field is occupied by a nine-line Latin commemorative inscription in Roman capital letters, reading LEOPOLDVS II HVNG ET BOH REX ARCH AVST M D HETR ELECTVS REX ROMANORVM CORONATVS FRANCOFVRTI IX OCT MDCCXC, each line separated by dot dividers. The lettering is boldly struck in high relief against a plain, unadorned field, with no portraiture or additional devices. The inscription records the titles of Leopold II and commemorates his coronation as King of the Romans at Frankfurt on 9 October 1790. The compact, centred layout is characteristic of Frankfurt coronation ducats of this period. |
