Beschrijving voorzijde Truncated half-bust of Charles I facing right, wearing a close-fitting cap with a distinctive fluted or ribbed lower section covering the nape and sides of the head, rendered in fine relief characteristic of late 15th-century Savoyard coinage. The effigy is contained within a plain inner circle, with the duke's facial features rendered in profile with careful attention to naturalistic detail. The circumscribed Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery, separated from the inner circle by a narrow flat field. Pellets and stops divide the legend elements, with a cross pattée serving as the initial mark at the commencement of the inscription.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central device comprising the shield of Savoy — displaying the characteristic cross of the House of Savoy — set at a slight angle beneath a crested tilting helmet adorned with elaborate lambrequins flowing symmetrically to either side, all executed in the Gothic heraldic style typical of late medieval Savoyard coinage. Two decorative knots or tassels flank the lower portion of the composition on the pole or staff supporting the achievement. The design fills the inner circle confidently, with the heraldic elements rendered in bold relief against a flat field. The circumscribed Latin devotional legend encircles the composition in the outer ring, punctuated by pellets as word separators.
