Reverse description Central ornamental design featuring a stylized eight-armed foliate cross or rosette motif, with each arm terminating in curved, leaf-bearing branches in a Gothic Revival style. At the center of the design is an oval cartouche inscribed S DUCAT, flanked by the radiating foliate arms. The fineness mark 980 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the central motif. The surrounding legend reads PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI along the upper arc and AUREUS MAGNUS along the lower arc, separated by small dot ornaments.
