Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate interlaced royal cypher of Augustus II (AR monogram), rendered in fine calligraphic style with foliate flourishes at the base. The cypher is surmounted by a royal crown with elevated arches. The entire design is set within a beaded or plain inner circle, with no peripheral legend, giving the field a clean heraldic character consistent with early eighteenth-century Saxon coinage.
