| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central oval shield bearing the quartered arms of Saxony and Poland-Lithuania, surmounted by an electoral crown and flanked by elaborate Baroque acanthus scrollwork. The shield is divided by a fess, with the Saxon barry field and rampant lions in the upper quarters and the Polish eagle and Lithuanian Pahonia in the lower quarters. The mint-master's initials I·G·S· appear at the base of the shield. The date is incorporated into the circular Latin legend, which records the issuer's dignity as Archchancellor and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. |
