| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Anna Ivanovna facing right, her hair elaborately curled and surmounted by an imperial crown topped with a cross finial. The empress wears a mantle with visible armor breastplate beneath, rendered in high relief in the Baroque court portrait tradition. A beaded border encircles the periphery of the flan. The Cyrillic legend, reading Б∙М∙АННА∙IМПЕРАТРИЦА (By the Grace of God, Anna, Empress), arcs around the bust, divided to left and right of the effigy. |
