Reverse description The Russian imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the field, each head surmounted by a separate crown and the two together beneath a central larger imperial crown above. The eagle's wings are spread and detailed with layered feathers; the breast bears an oval shield depicting the mounted figure of St. George slaying the dragon to the right. Two scepters crossed below form the lower terminus of the design, flanked by laurel and palm branches. The Cyrillic peripheral legend IСАМОДЕРЖ·ВСЕРОСИСКАЯ· with the date 1730 arcs around the composition, reading 'And Autocrat of All Russia.'
