Obverse description Central field dominated by an ornate Baroque cartouche with elaborate scrollwork and foliate decoration, enclosing a five-line Latin inscription. The date 1715 appears at the top of the cartouche, above the legend. The coin's rim features a fine beaded border, characteristic of the milled coinage of the Lucerne mint.
