| 背面描述 | Central field displays the crowned royal arms of Navarre, consisting of a quartered shield surmounted by a royal crown, supported on either side by heraldic supporters, all rendered in the hammered Gothic style characteristic of late medieval Iberian coinage. The shield incorporates the traditional chains of Navarre in the lower quarter. A Latin devotional legend encircles the design within a beaded border. |

Juan III and Catalina ruled Navarre jointly by constitutional requirement — Catalina held dynastic right to the throne, but Navarrese law demanded a male co-ruler, forcing the marriage to function as a legal instrument of governance as much as a personal union. Their reign was defined by relentless pressure from both France and Castile, each manipulating Navarrese factions to extract concessions. Ferdinand of Aragon ultimately used the pretext of the couple's alleged support for the French crown to invade in 1512, ending Navarrese independence south of the Pyrenees entirely and rendering this coinage the last gold issue of a sovereign Navarre.
