| Reverse description | Zoroastrian fire altar at center, depicted in the traditional Sasanian manner with a stepped base and flanked on either side by two attendant figures standing in adoration, each holding a staff or sword. The altar and attendants are rendered in fine relief with concentric circular borders framing the central design. Pahlavi mint and regnal year inscriptions appear in the margins to the left and right of the altar. Small crescent and star devices occupy the outer corners of the border, consistent with Arab-Sasanian reverse conventions. The composition closely adheres to late Sasanian drachm prototypes issued under Khusro II. |
