| Obverse description | Bust of the Sasanian king facing right in the Khusro II tradition, depicted wearing an elaborate winged crown surmounted by a crescent and globe, with detailed hair and facial features rendered in the late Sasanian style. The effigy is framed by a beaded border with flanking crescents and pellets in the field. Pahlavi inscriptions appear to the right and left of the bust, identifying the governor or regnal reference. The overall design closely follows Sasanian prototype coinage adapted under Arab-Sasanian administrative authority. |
