| Reverse description | A Zoroastrian fire altar with two attendants standing to either side, each wearing a distinctive headdress and facing the altar in a devotional posture, a characteristic motif of Sasanian coinage. The altar is depicted in stylized form at the centre of the design, rising from a stepped base. Star and crescent symbols appear in the upper field flanking the altar. A beaded border encircles the entire reverse design. The Inscriptional Pahlavi legend, including the regnal year and mint mark, is inscribed in the margins. |
