| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped bust of Yazdgard I facing right, wearing an elaborate mural crown surmounted by a crescent and korymbos, with long flowing hair and a beaded torque at the neck. The effigy is rendered in the high-relief style characteristic of late Sasanian coinage, with finely detailed drapery and jeweled ornaments. A Pahlavi legend encircles the portrait within a beaded border. The field to the left bears additional attendant imagery, consistent with the dynastic iconographic program of the period. |
