| Obverse description | Draped bust of Vālaxš (Balāsh) facing right, surmounted by a mural crown adorned with a korymbos set upon a crescent. A ribbon is visible on the left shoulder, and flames rise on the right side of the crown, a characteristic Sasanian royal iconographic element.
