| Beschrijving keerzijde | Fire altar with ribbons on the shaft, upon which appears the head of Valkash facing right, flanked by two standing attendants in Sasanian court dress. A star and crescent appear flanking the flames atop the altar, serving as celestial and dynastic symbols. The king's name is inscribed in Middle Persian (Pahlavi) script in the left field, with the mint mark WH (identifying Veh Ardashir) in the right field. No regnal date is present on this issue. The scene is enclosed within a beaded border, consistent with standard Sasanian drachm reverse iconography. |
