| Obverse description | Crowned Sasanian-style bust of the governor facing right, rendered in the tradition of late Sasanian royal portraiture. The effigy features a distinctive winged crown surmounted by a star and crescent, with elaborate beaded necklaces and ribbons visible at the shoulder. The bust is encircled by a beaded border, with Arabic inscriptions in Kufic script appearing in the inner field to the right and left of the portrait. Crescent symbols are positioned in the outer margin at the cardinal points, characteristic of Arab-Sasanian coinage of the Umayyad period. |
