| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, draped with paludamentum, depicted in three-quarter view from the front. The effigy displays finely rendered military attire consistent with provincial Nabataean die-cutting conventions. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, abbreviated across multiple lines, acclaiming Trajan with his full imperial titulature including the epithets Optimus, Germanicus, and Dacicus. The portrait occupies the central field and is characteristic of the provincial coinage struck at Bostra following the annexation of Arabia Petraea. |
