The design is enclosed within a beaded border, and Brahmi script legends appear in the field, reading approximately as a royal titulature attributable to Toramana II. The overall style reflects the provincial hammered coinage traditions of the Kapishi/Bagram region. |

The irregular flan edge is typical of the hammered coinage produced at the Bagram mint during the mid-sixth century. |
