Obverse description Laureate head of Tiberius facing right, depicted with finely rendered hair beneath the wreath and a ribbon tie visible at the nape. The portrait is executed in the restrained, classicizing style characteristic of Julio-Claudian coinage struck at Caesarea in Cappadocia. The circular legend TI CAES AVG P M TR P XXXIV runs around the periphery, reading from upper right. The field is flat and unadorned, typical of provincial silver drachm coinage of this period.
