Reverse description A rose in full bloom, the civic emblem of Rhodes, occupies the central field with a single bud on a stem curving to the right. The ethnic letters Ρ and Ο flank the stalk on either side. The magistrate's name ΤΕΙΣΥΛΟΣ is inscribed above in Greek characters. A serpent, shown coiled or rearing, appears to the left of the rose, serving as a secondary control symbol. The composition is typical of the Rhodian plinthophoric drachm series, with all design elements disposed in the characteristic arrangement of this magistrate's issue.
