正面描述 Crude bust of the ruler facing right, depicted in a schematic, barbarous style characteristic of late Alchon Hun coinage. The effigy features a distinctive headdress or crown visible above the head, with rudimentary facial features rendered in low relief. Flanking legends appear to either side of the bust, with the Bactrian inscription reading TORA, referencing the issuing authority Toramana. The overall design reflects the degraded artistic tradition derived from late Sasanian and Kushano-Sasanian prototypes.

附加信息

Toramana's Alchon coinage is poorly understood in terms of precise mint attribution, but his domain at its height stretched from Gandhara into the Gangetic plain — the broadest territorial reach any Alchon ruler achieved. The "Tarika satrap" designation reflects a regional administrative layer beneath the main ruler, suggesting these small bronzes circulated in a subordinate governed zone rather than being issued directly from a central Alchon mint.

Göbl's EM 28 classification places this squarely in the later Alchon sequence, after the absorption of residual Kidarite administrative structures in the northwest.
