| Obverse description | Bust of a Sasanian-style king facing right, depicted in the manner of Khusro II, wearing an elaborate winged crown with a crescent finial and ribbons flowing behind; the effigy is shown with a beard and stylized facial features characteristic of late Sasanian portraiture. Dotted border rings the central portrait field. The Pahlavi inscription APZWT and the name TLH (Talha) appear in the margin, along with the Arabic basmala بسم الله, reflecting the transitional Arab-Sasanian monetary tradition. |
