| Obverse description | Stylized bust of the king facing right, rendered in the debased late Gupta manner characteristic of western silver drachms. The effigy displays a prominent eye, simplified facial features, and vestiges of a headdress or crown indicated along the upper rim. The design shows strong Saka-Kshatrapa artistic influence, with the portrait reduced to near-schematic form typical of Skandagupta's silver coinage. The flan is irregular and the relief is shallow, consistent with hand-struck hammered production. |
