| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Emperor Skandagupta facing right, rendered in the distinctive late Gupta stylistic tradition with pronounced facial features including a large almond-shaped eye, a prominent nose adorned with a circular ornament, and flowing hair arranged in decorative locks behind the ear. A beaded or jewelled necklace is visible at the base of the neck. A Brahmi numeral denoting the regnal or Gupta era year appears in the right field before the face, serving as the dating element for this issue. |
