| Beschrijving voorzijde | Highly abstracted Celtic design featuring a horizontal Y-shaped element rendered in relief above a row of three arches, the whole composition resting upon a horizontal ground line. The design derives from a severely schematised devolution of a classical head type, reduced to geometric and curvilinear elements characteristic of the Boian coinage tradition. The field is otherwise plain, with no legend or inscription. The flan is irregular and moderately compact, consistent with hand-struck Celtic silver coinage of the late La Tène period. |
