| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central Zoroastrian fire altar with a stepped base and a flaming summit, depicted frontally with flames rising from the altar table. Flanking the altar stand two attendants facing inward, each wearing the characteristic Sasanian court dress and crown; they serve as guardians of the sacred fire. A Pahlavi mint mark and regnal year appear in the fields to the left and right of the altar. The composition is enclosed within a beaded border and is rendered in the formal, symmetrical style characteristic of Sasanian drachms. |
