| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in fine Hellenistic style with a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head and adorned with a decorative crest. The goddess's hair curls visibly beneath the helmet brim, and a serpent-entwined aegis is partially visible at the lower left of the field. The portrait is rendered with strong relief and naturalistic facial features characteristic of Seleucid coinage of this period. |
