| Opis rewersu | Athena Nikephoros, helmeted and draped, stands in a dynamic pose within a quadriga of four elephants advancing to the right, brandishing a spear overhead in her right hand and bearing a large round shield on her left arm. The Seleucid dynastic anchor symbol appears above the central field, with a pentalpha (pentagram) and the control letter Theta (Θ) positioned behind Athena and between the shield and the elephants respectively. The royal Greek legend BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing monarch Seleukos I Nikator. A beaded border surrounds the design. |
