Reverse description Arsakes I, the dynastic founder and idealized archer-king, is depicted seated right upon a throne, holding a strung bow in his right hand — the canonical Parthian reverse type. The mint mark ИI appears below the bow, identifying the Nisa mint. An additional symbol is positioned behind the throne in the right field. A Greek legend in retrograde characters encircles the central device, proclaiming the royal titulature of the Arsacid dynasty.
