Drachm - Phraates IV

Beschrijving voorzijde	Diademed and draped bust of Phraates IV facing left, the diadem ends falling behind the neck. An eagle in flight to the left hovers behind the king's head, raising a wreath to crown the royal effigy. The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition characteristic of late Arsacid coinage, with fine die-engraving detail on the facial features and drapery folds. The field is largely plain, with the bust occupying the central and left portions of the flan.
