| Obverse description | Diademed bust of Phraates IV facing left, rendered in the medium-bearded Parthian court style with a double-banded diadem securing the hair. A segmented torque-style necklet is visible at the truncation, and a distinctive wart is present on the forehead — a dynastic identifier for this ruler. The effigy is executed in low relief with fine linear detail characteristic of the Ecbatana mint, and the entire design is enclosed within a dotted border. |
