Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Phraates III facing left, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition. The king wears a tiara or diadem with long pendant ties visible behind the head, and his chest is adorned with a jewelled or studded torque and decorated garment bearing a prominent star motif. A short, curled beard frames the royal effigy. The coin is enclosed by a fine beaded border.

Reverse description The dynastic ancestor Arsakes I is depicted seated to the right on an omphalos throne, holding a strung bow in his extended right hand. A monogram appears in the field beneath the bow. The entire reverse field is densely filled with a multi-line Greek legend arranged around the central figure, with a beaded border encircling the design.
