| Obverse description | Bearded royal bust facing left, wearing a diademed tiara adorned with a horn on the side and a row of recumbent stags along the crest. A pellet-ended spiral torque encircles the neck, rendered in the distinctive Parthian artistic style. The bust is set within a beaded border, and the field surrounding the effigy is plain. The headdress and torque are characteristic iconographic markers of Phraates III's coinage within the Sellwood type 39 series. |
