| Obverse description | Head of Herakles in right-facing profile, wearing the lion-skin headdress with the scalp knotted beneath the chin, the mane rendered in bold, deeply incised striations radiating from the skull. The facial features are modelled in the refined Ionian style characteristic of the mid-fourth century BC, with a strong brow, almond-shaped eye, and well-defined jaw. The field is plain, with no legend or additional devices. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hammered silver coinage of this period. |
