| 表面の説明 | Celticised bare head of Herakles facing right, wearing the lion skin headdress rendered in a distinctly abstract, schematised Celtic style; the scalp and mane of the lion skin are depicted as a series of crescent-shaped pellets and curvilinear motifs arranged across the crown and neck. The facial features are boldly modelled, with a prominent brow, rounded eye, and stylised ear, reflecting the progressive Celticisation of the original Macedonian prototype. |

Celtic coinages derived from the Macedonian drachm of Philip II circulated across an enormous geographic arc — from the Carpathian basin into the Balkans and beyond — for well over two centuries, progressively abstracting the original Greek prototype into forms that bear only structural resemblance to their source. The attribution "Uncertain Eastern European Celts" reflects a genuine scholarly problem: without hoard provenance, pinning these pieces to a specific tribe or region remains speculative, and the published references disagree on finer points of classification.
Kostial 948 and Göbl 595 place this variety within a late evolutionary stage of the series.
